Local MP opens new Holden Facility

The Member of Parliament for Mangere, Su’a William Sio, was guest of honour at the official opening of Holden New Zealand Parts Warehouse extension which took place at the brand’s Head Office facility recently.

Mr Sio toured the Parts Warehouse and also took time to meet with staff as part of his visit to the home of Holden in New Zealand.

The extension to the warehouse adds an extra 50% capacity to the facility and will make it easier for staff to distribute almost half a million parts each year to 33 Holden dealers, 12 Isuzu Master Truck dealers and 24 Authorised Service Centres around the country.

“This is a significant investment in the ongoing presence of Holden and Isuzu Trucks in New Zealand and illustrates a commitment on the part of the brand to better serve our customers and dealers,” said the Managing Director of Holden New Zealand, Kristian Aquilina.

“This warehouse represents a pledge to our presence both here in Mangere and also as a brand in New Zealand.  Holden has a very bright future as we have just started on a path which will see the launch of 24 new Holden models arriving in country by 2020.

“Correspondingly, there will be a significant increase in the number of parts required to be stocked in country and the new warehouse will enable us to manage requirements of customers.”
